Penny Orloff
In songs and stories of her own forty-plus years in the theater, Orloff’s nationally-acclaimed solo performance features an oddball immigrant family, a Rogues’ Gallery from the Showbiz underworld, and music by Gershwin, Berlin, Sondheim and others. At the piano for these performances is Jim Horne, the show’s original Music Director.
Penny Orloff has played JEWISH THIGHS ON BROADWAY to rave reviews and standing ovations nation-wide, including a successful off-Broadway run at the Clurman Theater, on 42nd Street in New York. She was a working actress and dancer in Los Angeles when a Juilliard opera scholarship took her to New York. She played major roles on Broadway for director Harold Prince, after performing more than twenty Principal Soprano roles with New York City Opera. Cabaret, theater, and opera engagements have taken her all over the U. S., Europe, and the former Soviet Union
Our performances are on the second floor of the Masonic Lodge, 119 North Bend Way, in North Bend, one half block east of Bendigo Way
